Swim, eat, drink, repeat!

There is a dash of much-needed rain this morning. We wait for it to clear and then head to the beach for a swim. This time there are quite substantial (for the Med anyway) waves. It's unusual and, even though it is Sunday, it is quiet. These are not optimum conditions for the locals so we have the water pretty much to ourselves and spend a long time in it.

Beach at the end of the street

Back at home, after another yummy courtyard lunch, there is working and blogging and reading and chilling going on until later in the evening it is time to head out for dinner around 7.30pm. We walk along the promenade (in the other direction to Palma) and we are soon at an Italian restaurant called Piadina e Vino

We order rose and starters and settle in for a languid dinner as dusk falls and the moon rises in the sky. I have avocado con gambas (prawns and avocado) and it is heavenly.

Another rose done and dusted - now onto the red!

And then we walk and talk our way home - and talk some more when we get there. With wine!

OBSERVATION OF THE DAY:
As I've said many times, the Spanish culture and lifestyle suit me - late mornings, late nights, languid days, food and wine, old and new, a dose of high energy blended with a siesta - and a lot of alegria de vivir thrown in!
The high temps of mid-30s + do pose a challenge for me though - but with a gentle approach, and a cold beer or two, I cope admirably!!
